Mego released a number of sports stars figures, including Muhammad Ali (boxing), Joe Namath (football), Franz Beckenbaur (soccer), and Steve Goalgetter (soccer).
Mego released a 10" Muhammad Ali figure in the U.S. and U.K., along with boxing opponent Ken Norton and a Boxing Ring playset.

Each figure came with a yellow "activator" that fit into a slot in the back of the waist to make the figure punch by pushing the plunger.

Mego foreign distributor Denys Fisher sold Muhammad Ali in a white solid cardboard box in the U.K. It came with a stand-up punching ball, which was exclusive to the U.K. release.

Mego foreign distributor Wiggins Teape released a 10" generic soccer (European football) figure named Steve Goalgetter in the U.K.

Similar to Muhammad Ali, each Steve Goalgetter figure came with a black "activator" that fit into a slot in the back of the waist to make the figure kick by pushing the plunger.

A Goal Game playset was also released. It included a Steve Goalgetter figure, soccer balls, felt soccer field, plastic goal, and cardboard defenders and goalie. Complete boxed examples are very hard to come by.
